Yes. You are always conscious and always able to access your conscious mind to formulate sentences. Your brainwaves will be in a frequency slightly different than the typical waking state, usually in the theta-delta frequency range, where you have access to your subconscious mind which you will experience in terms of pictures, sensations, scenery, emotions, and memories.

No. We cannot make you do anything you don't want to do. (BTW...you know the folks barking like dogs in the Hypnosis stage shows? Part of them wants to do that, to make their friends laugh or to let loose or some similar reason).
